1. Freshen Up the Paint

One of the simplest and most effective ways to upgrade your bathroom is with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you're updating the walls, ceiling, or even cabinets, paint has the power to completely transform the space.

For my bathroom refresh, I focused on:
Painting the ceiling to brighten up the space and make it feel taller. Opt for an eggshell finish rather than a flat to help with moisture resistance.
Updating the wall color for a fresh and modern feel. This color is Greenwich Village by Behr
Cleaning up old paint splatters from tile and fixtures for a polished finish.

Painting isn’t just about looks—it also helps protect your walls from humidity and wear over time. If you want an instant upgrade with minimal effort, this is the way to go!

2. Update Your Hardware

Swapping out old hardware is another quick and budget-friendly way to refresh your bathroom. Think of hardware like jewelry for your space—small changes can make a big difference!

Here are a few things you can easily update:
✔ Cabinet knobs and drawer pulls
✔ Towel bars and toilet paper holders: I used this Wincase set
✔ Faucet handles and light fixtures

3. Add DIY Shelves for Storage & Style

If you’re short on storage or just want to add some decorative elements, DIY shelves are a great solution. I built mine using simple materials like wood planks and brackets, and they were incredibly easy to install.

These shelves are perfect for:
✔ Storing towels and toiletries
✔ Displaying plants or decorative items
✔ Keeping everyday essentials within reach

By adding shelving, you not only create extra storage but also give your bathroom a designer-inspired touch without the high price tag!

The Final Touches

Once you’ve completed these three projects, take a few extra minutes to clean up any paint splatters on tiles or fixtures. I used a simple scraper and cleaner to remove dried paint, and it made a huge difference in how polished the space looks.

A Big Impact with Minimal Effort

With just a little paint, new hardware, and DIY shelving, you can completely upgrade your bathroom without spending a fortune. These simple projects make a big impact and are perfect whether you're renting or owning your home.
